With the presentation of flags, patriotic music and a guest speaker, a program in Charleston Monday paid tribute to veterans and their sacrifices.
American Legion John Brawley Post 20 hosted the event at Agsten Manor on Randolph Street that was attended by about 60 seniors who are residents of the complex. The veterans were recognized for their service and were presented flags.
The guest speaker was the Rev. Frank Goff, past president of the West Virginia Korean War Association, and there was a patriotic presentation by Neil White of Thunder Productions.
Ed Converse, past commander of Brawley Post 20, said the ceremony was a miniature version of the ceremony that followed the Veterans Day parade in Charleston.
