West Virginia schools are ready to deal with disasters, according to the "Save the Children's" National report card.
The group said West Virginia meets all of their standards for protecting students. The state is one of only 17 to meet all of the requirements.
The report also commends West Virginia for ensuring school disaster plans include measure to accommodate children with special needs.
