ROADWAY REOPENS MacCorkle Avenue Reopened After Single Car Crash

A portion of MacCorkle Avenue in South Charleston was closed for about an hour Thursday evening, after a car hit a utility pole.
Dispatchers said it happened along MacCorkle Avenue and C Street - near the mound - about 9:30 p.m. The eastbound lane of MacCorkle Avenue was closed while crews worked to get the driver out of the car.
South Charleston police reopened that portion of roadway about 10:30 p.m.
