HUNTINGTON SHOOTING UPDATE
Two Men Charged With Murder In Huntington Shooting

Two men are dead and two men are charged with their murders following a shootout that happened Nov. 6 on Foster Avenue in Huntington.

Rocky Williams, 19, was previously arrested and charged with one count of murder in the death of Darrell Fuqua, 22, of Detroit. After the death of Devonte Penn, 17, on Sunday, Williams was charged with a second count of murder.

Williams' mother, Debra Williams told Eyewitness News, "He's not guilty, there were other ones involved. But they pinned it all on him."

Thomas White, 21, was released from the hospital for treatment of his gunshot wound and into police custody, according to a news release from the Huntington Police Department. White had been in the hospital since the shooting and was arraigned on two counts of murder on Tuesday.

Debra Williams said, "I'm a little scared for my life, because Detroit's involved and I don't know what they may try to do to me. Yes, I'm scared for my life."

The third victim in a Huntington shooting is out of the hospital and is now in police custody.

Thomas White, 21, was injured in the shooting on Foster Avenue on Nov. 6. Two men were killed in the shooting. White was expected to appear before a magistrate judge Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Rocky Williams, 19, is set to appear in Cabell County Magistrate Court Tuesday afternoon. Prosecutors are deciding if Williams could face an additional murder charge after a second shooting victim, Devonte Penn, died of his injuries on Sunday.

A second person has died from his injuries stemming from a shooting that happened Nov. 6 in Huntington in the 1800 block of Foster Avenue

Devonte Penn, 17, of Detroit died Sunday, according to a news release from the Huntington Police Department. It was determined by the chief medical examiner that he died as a result of a single gunshot wound.

Also killed in the shooting was Darrell Fuqua, 22, of Detroit. Thomas White, 21, was injured in the shooting. Rocky Williams, 19, was charged with murder in connection with Fuqua's shooting and is set to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday. A second suspect, Charity Dawn Cornell, 35, was charged with maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of allowing the use or sale of drugs.




A Michigan man is dead, two people hurt and two others arrested after a Huntington homicide.

Darrell Fuqua, 22, of Detroit, Michigan was found shot inside a home in the 1800 block of Foster Avenue Tuesday morning Fuqua died a short time later.

Charity Dawn Cornell, 35 and Rocky Hudson Williams, 19, both of Huntington were arrested late Tuesday by Huntington Police, a news release from the Huntington Police Department said.

Williams was charged with felony murder. Cornell was charged with maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of allowing the use or sale of drugs.

Police say Thomas White, 21, of Huntington and Devante Penn, 17, of Detroit, Michigan, were both hurt in the shooting.

Huntington police have released the names of those injured in Tuesday morning's shooting.

Police say Thomas White, 21, of Huntington and Devante Penn, 17, of Detroit, Mich., were both injured in the shooting, a news release from the Huntington Police Department said. The name of the person who died has not been released until the family has been notified.

When police arrived to the 1900 block of Foster Avenue Tuesday morning, they found multiple shooting victims. Officers medically assisted one victim with a gunshot wound until he could be transported to St. Mary's Medical Center. One person had already been admitted to Cabell Huntington Hospital for a gunshot wound.

Police say they don't know the motive behind the shooting.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday on Foster Avenue in Huntington. Huntington Police are investigating the incident. They are expected to release more information on the shooting Tuesday evening.
