The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department has identified the name of the person whose body was discovered at the Mink Shoals Park and Ride Monday morning.

Police say the name of the man is Nicholas A. Arthur, 31, of Charleston. No foul play is suspected. Investigators are waiting for toxicology reports. The body was sent to the medical examiner's officer for an autopsy.

Deputies say they found no signs of "foul play" on a body discovered at the Mink Shoals Park and Ride off Interstate 79, but they will treat the death as a homicide until proven otherwise.

The body was found before 8 a.m. Monday after a citizen reported seeing a body inside the Park and Ride barriers, according to a news release from Capt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office. Crosier said the Kanawha Bureau of Investigation has a possible identity of the body and are working to verify it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kanawha Bureau of Investigation and speak with Sgt. B.K. Carper at 304-357-0169.

The deceased is a white male who appears to be in his 20s or 30s, deputies said. They added that he did not have any form of identification on him. Right now, there appears to be no obvious signs of foul play or injury, but the body has been sent for an autopsy.
