Charleston police have released the name of the pedestrian who was hit along Sissonville Drive Thursday.
Robert Espie Fields, 20, was in serious condition at Charleston Area Medical Center, police said. Fields was struck by a vehicle about 8 p.m. The driver involved in the incident stopped at the scene.

Metro 911 Dispatchers say a male was hit along Sissonville Drive just before 8:00 pm Thursday.
Police say the victim was hit by a vehicle and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
They say he had no identification on him at the time of the accident. They are asking if anyone has information on who this person could be please call the Charleston Police Department at 304-348-6470.
