Trick or treat hours will be observed in many area counties and communities Thursday, giving children who felt like they were tricked when the annual tradition was postponed a chance to finally get some treats.
Kanawha County and its municipalities will have trick or treat from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said it will have 24 deputies on patrol beginning at 5 p.m., and deputies say there will be zero tolerance for vandals.
Other counties observing trick or treat Thursday include Cabell, Putnam, Jackson, Lincoln, Mingo, Roane and Scioto County, Ohio. For those of you who have missed the opportunity to visit Kenova’s famous Pumpkin House because of the inclement weather, you have one more chance tonight. Pumpkin House organizers have decided to keep it open one more night since trick or treat was moved. It will be fully operational while trick or treaters pass through from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
