West Virginia American Water has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory for about 200 customers in the Racine, Peytona and Midway areas of Boone County.
The advisory was issued Monday for Route 3 from Hemlock Drive south to the railroad crossing, King Street, Russell Avenue, Peytona Road, Roundbottom Road, Renee Drive, Baxter Drive and the Racine Hill area following a water main break, according to a news release from the water company.
Crews have repaired the break, and the results of water quality testing have confirmed the water meets drinking water standards, the company said.
