The boil water advisory issued for customers of the Glen White Trap Hill PSD was lifted Friday morning, according to a relase from the Beckley District Office.
The Glen White Trap Hill Public Service District has issued a boil water notice for a number of areas in Raleigh County.
Areas affected are Dameron, Arnett, Rock Creek, Dry Creek, Naoma, Horse Creek, Sundial, Edwight, Stickney, Montcoal, Birchton, Eunice, Pettus, Leevale, Jarrolds Valley, Peach Tree, Drews Creek and Sandy Bottom, according to a news release from the public service district.
The public service district advises there is a high probability that the water is contaminated, but no testing has been performed yet to confirm. All water should be brought to a boil for one minute and should be cooled before using or use bottled water. Boiled or Bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing and food preparation until further notice.
For more information, contact the district at 304-683-4090. Guidelines to lessen the health risk are available from the EPA Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800-426-4791.
