Dunbar police are investigating a reported sexual assault in which a man knocked on the door of a woman’s home and forced his way into the residence.
The incident occurred about 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Lightner Avenue, according to a news release from the Dunbar Police Department.
Police said the suspect apparently knocked on the door and when the victim answered, the suspect struck her in the face and forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The suspect then fled the area. The suspect vehicle may be a light green compact.
The suspect is described as a clean shaven black male, with black curly hair and standing about 5 feet 10 to 6 feet tall. He was wearing black sweat pants, a black shirt and a black toboggan and was wearing gloves.
