A Huntington man and former boy scout opens up about surviving sexual abuse on national television.
42 year old John Mark Buckland appeared on the Anderson Cooper show Monday.
The Boy Scouts of America has been under scrutiny since the release of more than 14 thousand pages of what were once confidential documents, detailing decades of sexual abuse that was covered up.
Buckland says he was abused by a boy scout leader at Travis Air Force Base in California in 1982 when he was just 12 years old.
His name was among the 16 hundred listed in the files.
