A North Carolina man is in a Charleston jail accused of leading police on a chase while driving a stolen vehicle.
Officers say they tried to pull over Rahshed Scott in the west bound lanes of I-64 early Saturday morning for speeding.
Scott allegedly pulled over; but when officers approached his car, he took off driving. They followed him, but Scott jumped out of the car and took off running. Canine officers found him near the bank of the Kanawha River.
Officers say the car Scott was driving had been stolen out of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Scott is charged with fleeing and receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle.
