Marshall fans can pick up a special edition and support a good cause in the process.
The Pottery Place in Huntington is selling 50 special edition ceramic footballs that say “Go Herd 2012.” The proceeds will benefit the United Way of the River Cities. Customers will be able to customize the football by painting it in the store.
“We want to help the community and help them get in touch with their creative side, and paint a football to support Marshall and the United Way,” Brittany Ingraham, manager of the store, said.
The Pottery Place also will auction off a football with the Marshall team’s autographs at the end of the season.
