With just a little time before elections, one organization is pushing the topic of coal and how your ballot could effect the industry's future.
Friends and Family of Coal met Tuesday evening at Mud River Volunteer Fire Department.
The goal in Lincoln County this evening was not only to promote and educate people on coal. The organizations also pushed educating people about their vote in November and the impact it could have on the coal industry.
Lincoln county is one area that has seen the effects if the coal industry problems are not solved.
"It just about shut our county down. So we have to have a change. We have to have people that support coal. And we need that in our nation, in our state, and in our county," says West Hamlin resident, Howard Isaacs.
This was the fourth of such pro-coal rallies for Friends and Family of Coal.
