An Ohio woman was sentenced to two years in prison for distributing heroin in the Huntington area.
Christina Nease, 33, of South Point pleaded guilty in July, a news release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin’s Office said.
Nease admitted that she and others conspired to distribute heroin between February 2011 until March 2011, the release said.
On Feb. 25, 2011, Nease was planning to buy heroin from an undercover Drug Enforcement Administration agent but was stopped by an Ohio State Highway Patrol officer during a traffic stop, the release stated. Nease admitted that she had nearly 25 grams of heroin at the time, the release said. On Feb. 28, 2011, Nease said she sold cocaine to an undercover DEA agent for $1,400. On March 7, 2011, she also admitted to arranging a drug buy with one of her associates and a DEA agent of heroin in exchange for $1,700.
