Kentucky State Police found additional clues as to whose skeletal remains were found near Grayson Lake on Sunday.
Police discovered a wallet with identification and other credentials during their investigation, according to a news release from the Kentucky State Police. Police are still awaiting results from the state Medical Examiner's Office before making a positive identification.
Police discovered human skeletal remains in the Grayson Lake area in Carter County, Ky., over the weekend.
On Sunday, Kentucky State Police received a complaint that the remains were found in a secluded area of Grayson Lake near Clifty Creek, a news release from the Kentucky State Police said. The remains have been sent to the Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office for positive identification.
Numerous departments responded including the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, Carter County Sheriff's Office, Grayson Volunteer Fire Department and the Carter County Coroner's Office.
