A woman pleaded guilty Monday morning in Kanawha Circuit Court to second-degree robbery.
Ashley Tippett faces up to 5 to 18 years in prison. In court Monday, she admitted before Judge Carrie Webster that she robbed the Exxon One Stop in St. Albans on Nov. 7, but she did not recall threatening to shoot the clerk.
The clerk had told police that Tippett came into the store and threatened to shoot before demanding money. Police received a tip the next day, providing Tippett’s name as a suspect.
Tippett will be sentenced Nov. 30. She remains free on bond.
