Police continue to hunt for an alleged bank robber who struck in Glasgow, and prompted the lockdown of a nearby school.
The robber is believed to be a woman, who calmly walked in to the City National Bank in Glasgow and claimed she had a gun. It happened just after 2:00 p.m.
"This day and time that we live in, you hear it more and more of robberies, you never dream it would be so close to home," said Susan Cook.
Cook couldn't help but get emotional coming to terms with the reality her neighborhood bank was robbed, and her children were on lockdown inside Cedar Grove Middle School.
"She came in and was matter of fact and made her demands and left," explained Sgt. Larry O'Bryan.
Witnesses said she got into a white Chevy Trailblazer and headed west on Route 60, possibly with three other women. Other witnesses told police she fled on foot, prompting police to put K9s on the ground, and follow all leads.
For two fifth graders at Cedar Grove Community School, a normal day at school turned into anything but as they were forced to stay in their classrooms, wondering what was going on outside and if their families were okay.
"I didn't know what would happen. I thought you know somebody would be shot or killed and I was worried about what would happen to the bank," said Logan Singleton.
