Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in the Jefferson area that involved a Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office cruiser.
Dispatchers said it happened about 4 p.m. in the 6400 block of MacCorkle Avenue Southwest near Value City.
Three cars and the sheriff’s cruiser crashed. Three people were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Eyewitness News was told the deputy, whose name has not been released, was not injured.
One lane of the road was open at about 5:40 p.m. in both directions.
