A man accused of chopping up and burying a woman in his back yard went before a judge Friday to see whether or not he was competent to stand trial.
Kanawha Circuit Judge Duke Bloom ruled that Charles March can go to trial. March is accused of killing Kathy Goble. The two worked together at Kelley’s Men’s Shop in Charleston.
In April, police said March confessed to strangling her and dismembering Goble’s body in the bathtub.
March was wheeled into court Friday for the proceeding on a gurney. He also appeared in court in mid-August on a gurney. He tried to commit suicide in August at the South Central Regional Jail by jumping from a second tier of the commons area. March went under a competency exam at the request of his lawyer.
