Fifty fighters are ready to prove just how tough they are.
They will battle in the ring at the 25th Annual Coal Area Original Toughman Contest in Logan, according to a news release from promoter Jerry Thomas of West Virginia Sports Promotions. The event will be held Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 at the Logan Field House.
Up to 100 area men and women are expected to participate.
This year’s event will also feature two professional bouts. On Nov. 9, Jason Smith (5-1, three knockouts) of Logan will fight a four round bout vs. an opponent yet to be named. Meanwhile, on Nov. 10, Daniel Hensley (6-0) of Chapmanville will fight a four round bout vs. an opponent yet to be named. Both Smith and Hensley are former Toughman champions.
