October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and there are lots of events scheduled throughout the next couple of weeks to help support finding a cure.
The American Cancer Society is once again sponsoring the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" run and walk.
Since 1993, eight million walkers across the United States have raised more than $460 million to help fight breast cancer.
"If you don't want to walk or run come on out because we have a lot of great vendors out there. We have a survivor brunch at noon sponsored by Thomas Imaging Center. It's going to be a lot of fun," Tambra Cheman with the American Cancer Society said.
Registration for the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at 1700 MacCorkle Ave. in Charleston. The fee to walk is $25 and $35 if you want to participate in the run.
