A Fayette County man was jailed for allegedly sexually molesting a young child in Kanawha County.
Ewell Keith White, 59, of Layland is charged with one count of sexual assault of a 5-year-old.
The sexual act allegedly occurred at a home on Kanawha State Forest Drive in the Loudendale area of Kanawha County in 2010, according to a news release from Capt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested White at his home in Layland Wednesday evening. He was lodged in the Southern Regional Jail on $50,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected to be filed, Crosier said.
