A January hearing is set on ethics allegations against Beckley Mayor Emmett Pugh.
Pugh is accused of receiving more than $12,000 worth of ownership interests in companies in exchange for providing city contracts and free use of city resources.
The West Virginia Ethics Commission filed the civil charges in March after its Probable Cause Review Board determined there was enough evidence that Pugh violated the state's ethics law.
Pugh has denied the allegations.
Ethics Commission Executive Director Theresa Kirk told The Register-Herald that the four-day hearing will be held in Beckley beginning Jan. 28.
