Some more big changes are coming to the Charleston Town Center, and this one is good for the kids.
Charleston Area Medical Center has teamed up with mall officials to provide children a place to play and unwind. The new “Play Patch” will be located on the first floor near JC Penney. It will feature soft play equipment to support the National 5-2-1-0 Campaign that calls for five fruits and vegetables a day, less than two hours of screen time, one hour of vigorous activity and zero sugary drinks.
The Play Patch also will have a stroller area and seating for parents.
There also will be a new family restroom on the third floor that will have private nursing areas for new mothers and toddler-sized toilets. The CAMC Play Patch will officially open Dec. 17.
