Nearly 200 kids put on their walking shoes and made their way to school Wednesday morning.
It was all a part of the International Walk to School Day. Students from Chamberlain Elementary in Charleston teamed up with Energy Corp. of America to celebrate the event.
The kids lined up about 8 a.m. and walked a little more than a mile from the former Watt Powell Park in Kanawha City to school. Organizers said it’s vital to keep kids active, and this was one fun way to do it.
