Preparations are under way for the annual St. George Church Dinner.
Church members Tuesday were busy making baklava – a multi-layered filo with nuts in preparation for the dinner scheduled for Sunday. They will be serving up traditional Lebanese cuisine. Traditionally, the church serves up about 2,000 dinners.
The dinner will take place at the church noon Sunday. The cost is $14. The annual dinner dates back to the 1920s.
