Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash involving two sport utility vehicles in Institute Monday afternoon.
The accident happened about 3:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Fairlawn Avenue near the Fairlawn Mobile Home Park. It appeared that one of the vehicles crossed the center line and hit the other vehicle.
Crews were on the scene, and drivers were being asked to avoid the area.
