A memorial and benefit ride in memory of Troopers Eric Workman and Marshall Bailey will be held Saturday.
The event will begin at 11 a.m. at the Park and Ride off the Wallback exit of Interstate 79, the site where the deadly shootout took place Aug. 28. The ride will end at the Mountaineer Sports Bar and Grill at Spread Park, where participants will be served lunch.
The ride will be led by West Virginia state troopers and other law enforcement and emergency personnel.
All motorcycles and automobiles are welcome to participate. A $20 donation is requested. Proceeds from the ride will support youth programs in Clay County.
Additional donations can be made to the fund by mailing a check or money order to the Workman/Bailey Memorial Youth Fund at Clay County Bank, PO Box 239, Clay, WV 25043.
