A Carter County, Kentucky woman died in an accident involving a tractor trailer.
Police say 53-year-old Mary Logan lost control of her Pontiac Grand AM on I-64, near Olive Hill, and hit a guardrail. The impact knocked her vehicle into the path of a tractor trailer, which then sent her through the guardrail and over an embankment.
Police say Logan was not wearing a seat belt and died on the scene.
Two people who were in the tractor trailer did not get hurt.
Police say heavy rain appeared to have played a role in the crash.
