Pikeville, Ky., police arrested a man they said threw a stone through the window of a pharmacy, police said.
Brandon Kennard, 26, of Pikeville was charged with criminal mischief following an incident that occurred about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Family Drug Center on Town Mountain Road, according to a news release from the Pikeville Police Department.
Police said the suspect used a landscape stone to break a window of the pharmacy and caused the building’s alarm to activate. The suspect fled on foot to a nearby residence when the alarm sounded, and evidence at the scene led officers to the residence. Police said Kennard acknowledged to officers he was attempting to gain entry into the pharmacy, and he was arrested.
Kennard was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
