A St. Albans fast food joint closed unexpectedly, putting a dozen people out of work.
Workers at the Sonic on MacCorkle Avenue were told at 7 a.m. Tuesday that the restaurant would be locking its doors.
There were no signs announcing the move, so customers looking for a meal were stopping by the location only to find an empty building.
Eyewitness News was told the Sonic is being closed for the fall and winter season and would reopen in the spring. Franchise owner Chris White could not be reached for comment in Princeton. The number listed for his business has been disconnected.
