Police are investigating a home invasion that happened on the capital city's East End.
Officers are searching for the suspect who they say held an elderly man and his friend at gunpoint at a home along Lewis Street Monday evening.
Police said a white man wearing a brown Carhartt jacket went to a home at 1325 Lewis St. and told the homeowner his car had broken down.
The suspect asked to use the restroom and then came out with a small caliber handgun and demanded money, drugs and the homeowner’s cell phone.
The victim drew a sketch of the man he said robbed him. If you have any information, call Charleston police at 304-348-6480.
