Dozens of students and parents at Sissonville High School wear purple in support of prayer.
When a group of students learned there would no longer be minister led prayer before football games, they weren't very happy.
Students decided to take a stand against that decision and say the Lord's prayer before kickoff.
The incident started when a parent launched a complaint to the Freedom From Religion Foundation, which put together an argument for why it is unconstitutional. That argument was sent to the school board.
The Kanawha County School Board said that Sissonville High School could no longer do this.
The school's principal says while the school can not facilitate prayer, students are free to still pray on their own.
