Police are continuing to search for the men who robbed and beat a 65-year-old man at a downtown Charleston ATM.
Surveillance pictures show "people of interest" police want to talk to about the incident.
Police said Emery Casdorph came to the ATM at 613 Virginia St. E. Thursday morning and tried to get money out but couldn’t. That’s when two men came up to him. One of the men had a gun and demanded his pin number. They were unable to get money out. Casdorph said the men forced him into his car at gunpoint and drove him to another bank on the West Side and were again unable to get any money.
Casdorph said the men beat him with the gun, and then left him on the side of the road. They stole his car and his wallet.
They were last seen driving the victim’s car, a 2011 silver Honda Accord. The license plate number is 9-U-C-363.
If anyone recognizes the people in the photos or if they have information pertaining to the incident, they are urged to contact the Charleston Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 304-348-6480.
