George Jones will not be performing in Huntington Friday night.
The Country Music Hall of Famer was originally set to appear at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington back in the spring, but had to cancel that performance due to an respiratory illness.
Once again, an unspecified illness has forced Jones to cancel his performance at the BSSA. The show will not be rescheduled as of now, according to a release from Veronica Hordubay with the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.
Jones' show in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Saturday has also been called off.

George Jones Reschedules Huntington Appearance Due To Illness
George Jones fans will have to wait a little longer than expected to see him perform the tri-state area.
The Country Music Hall of Famer was set to perform in Huntington on June 2nd. That show has been rescheduled for Friday, September 21st at 7:30 p.m at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.
According to a statement from his publicist, the legendary country singer was admitted to a hospital in Nashville on Monday afternoon, where he will undergo testing and evaluation for a lingering upper respiratory infection. Jones’ illness has forced him to reschedule tour dates through June.
All previously purchases tickets for the June date will be honored at the show. Tickets are still available starting as low as $25 dollars. You can get your tickets at the Arena Box Office, ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 800-745-3000.
