If you get your spinach at Kroger, check your fridge because one certain brand is being recalled.
Kroger Fresh Selections Tender Spinach 10 ounce packages with a "best if used by" date of September 16 are being recalled, according to a release from Kroger.
The product is supplied by NewStar Fresh Foods, LLC, and is being recalled because it may contain Listeria.
The spinach that is possibly contaminated was sold in West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, and the eastern portions of Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio.
Kroger says they have removed all affected items from their shelves.
Any opened or unopened products should not be consumed and should be returned by customers to their local Kroger store for a full refund or replacement.
