The Cabell County School Board approved plans for a new bus garage during the regular meeting on Tuesday.
The new bus garage will be located at the old Cox Landing Middle School in Lesage, according to school officials. The project will cost $3 million dollars and will house approximately 80 school buses. A portion of the building is scheduled to be demolished in October.
The project will be completed in phases and the board will approve each stage during the regular meetings.
The Cox Landing Branch Library was located in the old Cox Landing Middle School and was moved to the Elementary School due to the construction. The library will soon have a new complex that will be built in the future.
