Two people were arrested after Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies said they went to a residence in Sissonville and found materials used to operate a meth laboratory.
Roger Lee Burdette Jr., 24, of 357 Hillwood Drive, Sissonville, and Tiffany Dawn Shaffer, 25, of 1902 Presson Drive, Sissonville, were charged Tuesday with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug laboratory, according to criminal complaint in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
The complaint said sheriff’s deputies went to 1902 Presson Drive to investigate a drug tip and discovered items commonly used to produce and operate a meth lab. The items included a Mason jar containing clear liquid, plastic tubing with a bottle cap, a 20-ounce plastic Sprite bottle containing a small amount of an unknown liquid and a small baggie containing an unknown white powder. A field test of the power confirmed it contained methamphetamine, the complaint said.
