Tamarack's staff members will hang the world's longest pink ribbon scarf for the third year in a row in tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The scarf was created by more than 200 women and men from 27 states and Puerto Rico, according to a news release from Tamarack. The scarf is continually being crafted with crocheted and knitted pieces and is expected to measure more than 4,000 feet by Oct. 1.
Tamarack will commemorate American Craft Week that runs from Oct. 5-13, by displaying the scarf. More special pink ribbon products made in West Virginia will be available.
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of breast cancer and raise money for scholarships for kids who lost a mother to breast cancer.
