A man was arrested Monday evening after police said he allegedly choked his girlfriend and his baby at a hotel room in Huntington.
Zachariah Thomas Curry, 29, is charged with felony child abuse with risk of injury and two counts of misdemeanor battery.
Curry allegedly had been drinking on Thursday and got in to a fight with his baby's mother, Huntington Police Detective Lt. John Williams said.
Police said Curry allegedly choked the woman and pushed her to the ground. Police said the baby was slammed into the mother by its neck. The suspect allegedly took off before police arrived and was arrested late Monday night.
Curry is being held at the Western Regional Jail on a $35,000 bond.
