A Martinsburg man is behind bars accused of trying to run over a police officer and ramming a cruiser with his car during a police chase.
Investigators say they tried to arrest Zachari Huff and Martin Felder for distribution of cocaine at a Sheetz convenience store around 10:30pm Friday.
Police say Felder tried to drive off with Huff in the vehicle. Felder allegedly rammed the vehicle of a Deputy United States Marshal and then tried to run over another officer in the parking lot.
During the chase, Huff jumped from the vehicle.
Police used tire deflation devices to stop Felder.
Felder and Huff face conspiracy and drug charges. Felder is also charged with fleeing from law enforcement and assault on a police officer.
