Motorcyclists will be participating in a ride Saturday to raise awareness of prevention, treatment and recovery services for drug and alcohol addiction.
Sponsored by the West Virginia Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors and the Dry Riders Motorcycle Club, the Ride for Recovery begins at 8 a.m. at the state Capitol in Charleston.
After the cyclists leave the Capitol, they will head to a luncheon at the BPO-Elks Lodge in Clarksburg. They will then continue to West Virginia University’s facilities in Parkersburg and conclude at the Bo-Mar Club in Ripley.
The event coincides with the 23rd annual observance of Recovery Month.
