Two men who admitted to brutally killing two dogs in Lawrence County, Ohio, were sentenced Thursday morning.
Jonathan Jiles and Brian Sharp pleaded guilty to prohibition concerning companion animals and criminal trespassing. They told sheriff’s deputies they killed Josie and Michael Scythes’ dogs, Bubba and Bear, last month in Pedro.
Both men will serve a seven-month sentence in the county jail, plus three years of probation. They also will have to pay a $1,250 fine and $800 restitution.
