Marshall University tested its emergency alert system campuswide Wednesday morning.
Students received test texts, phone calls and email for test notification alerts. The campuswide emergency alert system is in place in case of an emergency on campus or in the area.
The system was last tested in January. Students returned to Marshall for the fall semester in mid-August.
