Fire Marshal's Office Releases Name Of Victim In Scioto Fire Fatal

The Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office has released the identity of the man killed in a fire in Scioto County and said it could not eliminate electrical issues as a possible cause of the blaze.

Lee McCall, 60, was killed in the fire that broke out at a home about 1 p.m. Tuesday at 362 Carter Road in Lucasville, investigators said. One adult male was critically injured in the fire and was transported to a Huntington hospital.

There were no smoke alarms found in the residence.

The investigation was conducted by the State Fire Marshal’s Office, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, the Scioto County Coroner’s Office and the Morgan Township Fire Department.




One person was killed and another was seriously hurt after flames tore through a home in Scioto County, Ohio.

The fire broke out at the home on Carter Road in Lucasville about 1 p.m. Tuesday, the Ohio Fire Marshal’s Office said.

The Ohio Fire Marshal's Office said that one person died and another was flown to a Huntington hospital with serious injuries. Two other people managed to get out of the home safely.

No word on what started the fire. The Fire Marshal's Office said there were no smoke detectors in the residence.

The names of the victims have not been released.
