A Charleston man is in jail after police say he allegedly robbed another man early Monday morning.
Police said Melvin Murray, 49, of Charleston allegedly beat and punched Harold Larue, taking his watch. The attack happened about 2 a.m. along Virginia Street West and Elm Street on the capital city's West Side, police said.
Murray is charged with robbery and remains in the South Central Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond.
