An elderly couple was killed and a passenger was injured in an ATV accident near the Wayne-Lincoln County line, State Police said.
The accident happened at 9 a.m. Thursday on Trough Fork Road. Troopers said Herbert Estep, 73, and Elsie Estep, 70, were riding a side-by-side ATV when they lost control of the vehicle going down a hill, causing the ATV to roll, State Police said. The elderly couple died at the scene.
A passenger, Christopher Kinder, 20, was flown to St. Mary’s Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.
State Police are investigating an ATV accident involving at least three people Thursday afternoon.
Dispatchers said the accident happened about 9 a.m. along Trough Fork Road near the Wayne-Lincoln County line. Three people were hurt in the accident, and troopers are on the scene at this time, dispatchers said.
