Scioto County, Ohio, sheriff’s deputies have arrested one suspect and are looking for another for allegedly tying up an elderly woman and ransacking her home earlier this summer.
Randall Walker, 36, of West Portsmouth was arrested Monday at his residence, according to a news release from the sheriff’s department. He is charged with aggravated burglary, kidnapping, theft from the elderly and using criminal tools. The other suspect sought in the case, Joshua P. Whitt, 34, of South Webster, remains at large, the sheriff’s department said.
An elderly woman told police her home on Junior Furnace Powellsville Road in Franklin was robbed July 21 by two men. The suspects forced their way into the home. One of the men tied her arms and legs and attempted to shove her in a closet. The house was ransacked and several items were taken. One of the suspects was wearing a mask, and the other had nothing covering his face.
