One year later, the family of murder victim Megan Harrison is desperate for closure and justice.
"Everything you do, everywhere you go you think of her. And it's just hard. It doesn't get any easier," said Megan's mother, Ginger Harrison.
August 27th will mark one year since the 28-year old was killed and her body was found in the Elk River.
But for the Harrisons, time hasn't healed their wounds because police still know little about her murder.
Megan was staying at the Sojourners Shelter at the time. Police have followed up on numerous tips, but little has surfaced.
"There are circumstances that we had to sort through and exclude certain people and verify alibis, and collect evidence. We've worked every week for the past 52 weeks on the case," said Chief of Detectives, Lt. Steve Cooper.
The Harrisons say Megan was very trusting, she would do anything for anyone, and she simply got caught up with the wrong group of people.
And since Megan's killer is still out there, they're fearful for other women.
"If he did it once, he could do it again," said Megan's father, Roger.
And until their daughter's murderer is caught, they will continue to push for answers. And keep their daughter's memory close to their hearts.
"Just try to enjoy every moment with them and try to teach them right from wrong. Just enjoy them. Because you never know if there's going to be a tomorrow," said Ginger.
The Harrison family is offering a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Megan's death.
